The story
Behind the conflict
James Judd built his reputation on control: as the head of Judd Metrology, as a pioneer of AGC measurement, and as Eagle Wing. When a rescue on Skyhaven's Spindle Line sends Red Tail to the Gradient campus for treatment, the findings put those responsibilities at odds. A father needs answers. An institution has safeguards. A hero cannot afford to get either wrong.
The investigation reaches beyond the examination room into the Judd family's history, the identities James carries, and the pressure exerted by NΞX. From Skyhaven to Dominion City, protection, evidence, and justice begin to mean different things to the people fighting for them.
